NRC Activites on Adhesive Bonding of Aircraft Structures – from Nano to Macro

About the speaker:
Dr Lucy Li is a Senior Research Officer with National Research Council Canada, Aerospace portfolio. In the past 13 years at NRC, she has been leading research in the areas from composites process modelling, adhesive bonding, damage tolerance, and aircraft repair and maintenance. Some of the technologies she developed have been successfully applied for structural repairs of aircraft fleets at the Royal Canadian Air Forces, including CF-18, CC-130 and Bell CH-146 Griffon. She is national appointee to international collaborations including NATO Research and Technology Organization, and defence cooperative programs such as The Technical Cooperative Program involving five nations – US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand . Dr. Li was featured by NSERC this year as one of the Women In Aerospace. Beyond her day job, she is going to chair the next Canadian and International Composites Conference in Ottawa in 2017.
