The 2016th DIC SEMINAR, organized by M3C ULaval, is the first edition of an annual event focusing on Digital Image Correlation which is being possible thanks to the participation of Trillion Quality Systems, Association des Étudiants en Sciences et Génie de l’Université Laval (AESGUL) and Association des Étudiants Diplômés En Génie Mécanique (AEDEGM).

The seminar, lasting two full days, focuses on all the technologies available in the digital image correlation field and includes a gala on Thursday night

All the researchers, graduate students, technicians and engineers using on wishing to use a digital image correlation powered system are welcome

Registration for the seminar is priced at only 200$CAD per participant. This includes access to all the sessions, conferences and activities, parking, lunch and snacks for the two days as well as a 3 course meal and a networking cocktail. The only cost not covered during your stay is the accomodation for Thursday night.


How to register?

To register, simply fill out the registration form by the end of the registration period, which is May 13th. The invoice and payment instructions will be sent by email before the event.

Social medias

All participants are invited to follow the Facebook page and Tweeter account of M3C ULaval to follow the event in live on the social medias.

Internet & WIFI

The institutionnal Eduroam network will be available to all the participants. Those of you who require an access can receive a temporary code by asking for it by email at at least 5 days prior to the event.


Accomodations for Thursday night are not provided and are left to the choice of each participant. Many options are available nearby, either on the Boulevad Laurier or in Downtown which are easily accessible by car or public transportation. The Hôtel Universel is also a good option since it is located at the doors of our campus. You will be at the seminar within 10 walking minutes.


If you have any specific needs or restrictions, please take the time to inform us by filling out the registration form accordingly (or contact us as soon as possible if you forgot to do so at registration) and we will to do our best to accomodate you. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.

Parking and public transportation

Parking everywhere on campus must be paid at all times. Therefore, M3C ULaval is offering you freely the parking stickers to those who ask for it at registration. Otherwise, payment terminal are available in all Zone 1 parking.

Please note that the Pavillon Alphonse-Desjardins is very well covered by the bus of the Réseau de Transport de la Capitale. For more information, please visit their website.

According to the procedures and politics established by Université Laval, M3C ULaval aims to offer a safe and secure environment for all the participants attending its DIC SEMINAR. During the event, any picture or recording taken must be approved by the speaker/attendees present to be circulated. However, M3C ULaval and the Seminar’ partners reserve the right to publish any picture or recording taken by one of its member. By participating in the event, you accept this and waive your right on these pictures and recording to M3C ULaval. We will still acknowledge any personnal preferences voiced by a participant during the event.
